Lawyers Head to Business School
The current recession has caused stock investments and businesses to fail. As the money dries up, savvy clients have become even more selective in who they choose to handle their legal matters. Accordingly, now more than ever lawyers need to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with their business clients. In response law firms across the country are implementing and sponsoring business training programs for their associates. Also, some attorneys are electing to participate in M.B.A. programs at schools which offer specialized programs for lawyers. The goal of all this for lawyers-to be able to speak the language of business, learn the way your client operates, and in turn, become an effective problem solver.
